This peninsula extends into glistening, blue-green sea that is teeming with swimmers, yachts, and anglers. Scuba divers make use of Pennsylvania's one coastline under the surface of the ocean. Presque Isle State Park, a 3,200-acre bend of golden sand, draws visitors in need of a "seaside" day in the sun with its nine stunning beaches. Take a stroll along the 11 miles of trails to stretch your legs, stop at Gull Point to take photographs of the migratory and breeding birds, or hit the waves at Beach One, Beach 10, and the area surrounding North Pier.
